The body of a woman found Sept. 5, 2007 on Fort Hood was brutally beaten and left to die.
The victim, 43-year-old Barbara Howell, was reported missing around the first of September. That was around the same time a soldier stumbled upon a badly decomposed body on west Ft. Hood.
