41-year-old man dies after found shot outside Killeen club
Killeen PD says officers found Roderick Pollard suffering from a gunshot wound outside Obok Restaurant & Club.
KILLEEN, Texas — A 41-year-old man is dead after was found shot outside a Killeen club early Thursday morning, according to the Killeen Police Department.

Killeen PD said around 1:42 a.m., its officers were called out to the Obok Restaurant & Club, 2815 S. Fort Hood St. They found the man, identified as Roderick Pollard, outside at the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.
Pollard was taken to Carl R. Darnall Medical Center where he died hours later, police said.

Killeen PD was also notified about a female victim who was treated at Seton Medical Center Harker Heights with minor injuries. She was released from the hospital, police said

Killeen Police Investigate an Early Morning Murder
Killeen, TX (January 6, 2022) Killeen Police are investigating the death of a 41-year-old male.

On Thursday, January 6, 2022, at approximately 1:42 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Obok Restaurant & Club located at 2815 of S. Fort Hood Street in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon the officer’s arrival, they located a male lying in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to the Carl R. Darnall Medical Center in critical condition. Officers were then notified that a female victim was at Seton Medical Center Harker Heights with minor injuries from this incident. She was treated and released.

The victim, Roderick Pollard, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 6:10 a.m., by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke. He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwest Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.

On Jan. 8, police found Elvin Joel Vale Crespo deceased inside a residence in the 300 block of 22nd Street. Police have not released any more details.

Killeen Police Conduct a Death Investigation
Killeen, TX (January 8, 2022) Killeen Police are investigating the death of a 31-year-old male.

On Saturday, January 8, 2022, at approximately 2:56 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 300 block of 22nd Street in reference to a welfare concern about a male who had not been heard from in a few days. Upon the officers’ arrival, they made entry into the unlocked residence after no answer at the door and located a deceased male. Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke pronounced the victim deceased at 3:42 p.m. and ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwest Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.

The name of the victim has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The 25-year-old female victim is still in the hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE AN EARLY MORNING MURDER ON GRAY STREET

Killeen, TX (March 5, 2022): Killeen Police are investigating the death of a 31-year-old male.
On Saturday, March 5, 2022, at approximately 3:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Dean Avenue in reference to a shots fired call. Upon the officer’s arrival, they located a 25-year-old female suffering from a gunshot and were told that there was a second victim at a residence on Gray Street. The female victim was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in critical condition.

Officers located a deceased male inside a residence located in the 1300 block of Gray Street. The 31-year-old male victim was pronounced deceased at 4:36 a.m., by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke and he ordered an autopsy to be performed.

The name of the male victim has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.

This is the third Murder for the City of Killeen in 2022.

Killeen Police Identifies Fire Victim
UPDATE – Killeen, TX (March 9, 2022): The victim has been identified as 49-year-old Robin Lynn Ashford.

The preliminary autopsy report was received, and this investigation will be conducted as a Homicide.

Both Killeen Police and Fire departments are actively investigating this Homicide. Detectives and arson investigators continue to interview witnesses and use their resources that could assist them in their investigation.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS INVESTIGATE AN APARTMENT FIRE

Killeen, TX (March 7, 2022): Killeen Police and Fire Departments are investigating the death of a female located inside a structure fire.
On Monday, March 7, 2022, at approximately 1:43 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 4300 block of Lake Road in reference to a structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters with the Killeen Fire Department were on scene and making entry into one of the apartments due to heavy smoke. One victim was located inside, and paramedics immediately started life saving measures.
The female victim was pronounced deceased at 2:44 a.m. by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke at the scene. He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensics Sciences in Dallas.
The name of the victim has been withheld pending notification next of kin.

Killeen Police Investigate a Murder on Illinois Avenue
Killeen, TX (March 14, 2022) Killeen Police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old male.

On Thursday, March 10, 2022, at approximately 10:32 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Village at Fox Creek Apartments located 2900 Illinois Avenue in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon the officer’s arrival, they located a male lying in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers immediately started to perform life saving measures. He was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in critical condition.

The victim, Nicholas Gage Debrum, succumbed to his injuries on Friday, March 11, 2022 and was pronounced deceased at 11:31 a.m. by Justice of the Peace GW Ivey.

Killeen Police Investigate a Homicide on Redstone
Killeen, TX (March 11, 2022): Killeen police investigate the death of two people involved in a domestic disturbance.

On Friday, March 11, 2022, Killeen police received a 911 call at approximately 12:16 p.m. in reference to a suspicious male that was armed in the 2600 block of Brook Hollow Circle. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located a male with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The male, 29-year-old Robert E. Whitaker III, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson at 1:25 p.m. While officers were on scene, they were advised of an unconscious female at a residence located in the 5800 block of Redstone Drive. When officers arrived at that location, they found a deceased female with a gunshot wound. The female victim, 25-year-old Neosha A. Johnson was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson at 2:12 p.m. and he ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.

Through the investigation, it was discovered that the female and the male were involved in a domestic relationship.

The investigation is ongoing and at this time no other information will be released

Killeen, TX (March 14, 2022): A 39-year-old male has been charged in the death of two children.

On Sunday, March 13, 2022, this case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office and returned two complaints charging Kendrick Donnell Gaines with Capital Murder and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke arraigned Gaines and set his bond at $2.5 million. Gaines is currently awaiting transport to the Bell County Jail.

The female victim has been released from the hospital.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE A MURDER ON VEGA

Killeen, TX (March 12, 2022): Killeen police investigate the death of two juveniles during a domestic disturbance.

On Saturday, March 12, 2022, at approximately 11:12 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Vega Drive in reference to a 911 call about a gunshot victim. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located a 38-year-old female suffering with a gunshot wound. She was immediately transported by EMS to Baylor Scott & White in stable condition. Officers were then told that there were two female children inside a residence suffering from a gunshot wound. A 6-year-old was immediately airlifted to McLane Children’s Hospital in critical condition and an 11-year-old, had no signs of life. She was pronounced deceased at 11:57 a.m. by Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson at the scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the adult female and her spouse were involved in a domestic disturbance when shots were fired. Officers located and arrested the spouse, and he was transported to the Killeen City Jail. It was determined that the third victim was unharmed and all parties involved are related.

At approximately 12:20 p.m., the 6-year-old child succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased by medial staff.

The adult female is currently in stable condition and is expected to recover from her injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and at this time no other information will be released.

Killeen Police Arrest Second Murder Suspect


Killeen, TX (August 17, 2022): A 20-year-old is currently in jail for the Murder of Yolanda N’Gaojia.

On August 13, 2022, the Bell County District Attorney’s Office issued a complaint charging Demario Jabar Moore with Murder. On Tuesday, August 16, 2022, officers with the Killeen Police Department Violent Crime Action Team and members of the U.S. Marshals Service -Lone Star Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Moore. On Wednesday, August 17, 2022, Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke arraigned Moore and set his bond at $1,000,000. Moore is currently in the Bell County Jail.

Detectives continue to actively investigate this case and there is no additional information at this time.

UPDATE – NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE ARREST MURDER SUSPECT

Killeen, TX (August 13, 2022): A 17-year-old is currently in jail for the Murder of Yolanda N’Gaojia.

On Saturday, August 13, 2022, this case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office and a complaint was returned charging Christian Lamar Weston with Murder. Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson arraigned Weston and ordered him to be Held with No Bond. Weston was also arraigned on an unrelated Unlicensed Carrying of a Weapon where that bond was set at $5,000. Weston is awaiting transport to the Bell County Jail.

Detectives continue to actively investigate this case and there is no additional information at this time.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE A MURDER ON SH-195

Killeen, TX (March 22, 2022): Killeen Police are actively investigating the ninth Murder in the City of Killeen.

Officers with the Killeen Police Department were dispatched on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at approximately 5:03 p.m., to the 13000 block of State Highway 195 in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located two victims who had been shot.
One victim, a 52-year-old female, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson at 6:56 p.m. He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas. The name of the victim has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The second victim received non-life-threatening injuries and was treated and released at the scene.

6 News confirms identity of 52-year-old mother killed while visiting son's gravesite in Killeen

KILLEEN, Texas — 6 News confirmed the identity of a 52-year-old woman who was killed following a shooting at a cemetery in Killeen Tuesday afternoon. 

The victim was identified as Yolanda N'Gaojia. Investigating police say the incident happened around 5:03 p.m. in the 13000 block of State Highway 195.

According to family, N'Gaojia was visiting her son's gravesite because it was his birthday. Her son, Amir, died Jan. 1.

Per a news release, when police arrived to the scene they located N'Gaojia and a second victim who had non-life-threatening injuries, police say.

Killeen, TX (March 25, 2022): Killeen Police have identified the female victim as 18-year-old Revierra Elizabeth Aline Gibson.

On Friday, March 25, 2022, this case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office and two complaints were returned charging 17-year-old Ruben Joel Fuentes Jr. with two counts of Murder. Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson arraigned Fuentes and he set his bond at $1,000,000 on each Murder charge. Fuentes is awaiting transport to the Bell County Jail.

Alleged Killeen shooter charged in double homicide

Police identified an alleged shooter and a second victim in Thursday’s double homicide in north Killeen.

In a news release Friday evening, the Killeen Police Department named Revierra Elizabeth Aline Gibson, 18, as the second person killed during an early morning shooting in the 600 block of Brook Drive. The first victim was a 15-year-old teenage boy. Police have not released his name.

Killeen, TX (April 19, 2022):  The deceased individual has been identified as Isaiah Jose Lozada, 22-year-old male.  Autopsy results are still pending as to the cause of death.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE CONDUCT A DEATH INVESTIGATION

Killeen, TX (April 15, 2022): At approximately 4:07 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Ave. K where it was reported a deceased person was found within Nolan Creek upon the bank. When officers arrived, they did locate a person deceased and detectives were called to the scene.

Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke pronounced the person deceased at 4:55 p.m. He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.

Killeen Police were called to a hotel in the in the 2700 block of E Veterans Memorial Blvd regarding a disturbance.  In the late hours of Friday, June 10 police found 
Helena Deloris Holmes, 51 deceased in a hotel room.  Ms. Holmes was pronounced deceased by the justice of the peace around 12:40 am on Saturday June 11.
Juan Enoc Bamaca Pliego was also in the room and has been arrested for the murder of 
Ms. Holmes.  Pliego has also been charged with immigration violation.
His bail has been set at $1,000,000.00

Juan Enoc Bamaca Pliego, 36, was found alone in a bolted, darkened room at America’s Best Value Inn, 2709 E. Veterans Memorial Boulevard, with deceased Helena Holmes, 51, on Friday, according to an arrest affidavit obtained Monday.
The affidavit went on to say that Pliego admitted he had strangled Ms. Holmes after she had bit his finger.

Killeen, TX (October 6, 2022): Killeen Police are actively investigating the Murder of a 55-year-old male.

On June 24, 2022, Officers with the Killeen Police Department were dispatched at approximately 2:50 a.m. to the 1800 block of N. 4th Street in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located one victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers immediately started to perform life saving measures until paramedics arrived. He was transported to Baylor Scott and White in Temple.

The victim, Joe Sidney Williams Junior succumbed to his injuries on August 3, 2022, and was pronounced deceased at the hospital by Justice of the Peace Theodore Duffield. He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.

Detectives with the Robbery-Homicide Unit received the final autopsy, and it was determined that the death of the victim was ruled Murder.

FORT HOOD SOLDIER CHARGED WITH MURDER
Killeen, TX (September 21, 2022): Murder suspect is currently in the Bell County Jail.

 

 

 

 

 

The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and the suspect were involved in a domestic dispute when he displayed a handgun and shot the victim. The suspect left the residence to Fort Hood where he was later detained by military police. Officers with the Killeen Police Department were notified, and they arrested the suspect and transported him to the Killeen City Jail.

The Killeen Police Department Robbery-Homicide Unit presented the case to the Bell County District Attorney’s Office. Michael Leonard Moore, 35 years-old, was charged with Murder. Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson arraigned Michael Leonard Moore. He set his bond at $1,000,000 and ordered a GPS ankle monitor be installed should he post bond.

The information on the victim, 34-year-old female, will be released once next of kin notifications have been made.

The case is still an active investigation, and no other information will be released at this time.

UPDATE NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN ARREST MURDER SUSPECT

Killeen, TX (September 20, 2022): Killeen Police currently has one suspect in custody and is currently in the Killeen City Jail pending charges. The suspect is an active duty military soldier.

The information on the victim, 34-year-old female, will be released once next of kin notifications have been made.

CORRECTION – NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE A MURDER

Killeen, TX (September 19, 2022): Killeen Police are actively investigating the thirteenth Murder in the City of Killeen.

Officers with the Killeen Police Department were dispatched on Monday, September 19, 2022, at approximately 7:56 a.m., to the 1100 block of Wales Drive in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located one victim who was deceased. The victim was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson at 9:00 a.m. He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas. The name of the victim has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.

We want to let the community know that this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the general public.

Killeen, TX (September 30, 2022): Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division Robbery-Homicide Unit received three complaints from the Bell County District Attorney’s Office charging 40-year-old Antonio Bernard Heath with Murder, Tampering with Evidence and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon. Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke arraigned Heath, setting his total bond at $1,100,000. Heath is awaiting transport to the Bell County Jail

Detectives continue to investigate this Murder and there is no additional information at this time.

NEWS RELEASE: KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE A MURDER ON LEO LANE

Killeen, TX (September 29, 2022): Killeen Police are actively investigating the Murder of a 30-year-old male.

Officers with the Killeen Police Department were dispatched at approximately 2:38 a.m. to the 600 block of Leo Lane on Thursday, September 29, 2022, in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located a male suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers started to perform life saving measures until paramedics arrived. The victim, Denzell Roderick Jordan, was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke at 3:30 a.m. He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a domestic incident occurred at the residence when the suspect displayed a weapon and shot the victim. The suspect fled prior to police arriving.

Through the investigation, detectives located and arrested the suspect, who is currently in the Killeen City Jail.

This is the fourteenth Murder in the City of Killeen for this year.

Detectives are actively investigating this Murder and there is no additional information at this time.

Killeen Police Investigate a Murder on Evergreen
Killeen, TX (October 9, 2022): Killeen Police are actively investigating the Murder of a 14-year-old male.

On Sunday, October 9, 2022, at approximately 6:10 a.m., Killeen Police Officers responded to a call about a shooting victim in the 200 block of Evergreen Drive. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located a male suffering from a gunshot wound. Killeen EMS arrived and performed life saving measures. The victim succumbed to his injuries and Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson pronounced him deceased at 7:15 a.m. on scene.

Due to the victim’s age, his name will not be released.

This is the sixteenth Murder in the City of Killeen for 2022.

Abkhir Abdel Neville, 21

Killeen police are investigating the murder of a 21-year-old man.

Abkhir Abdel Neville, died shortly before 11:30 p.m. Wednesday after he was taken to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in critical condition.

Police had responded to reports of a shooting in the 200 block of East Bryce Avenue about 9:45 p.m. Officers found the victim had been shot and paramedics started performing “life-saving measures” before he was taken to the hospital.

No arrests have been made, according to the news release.

This is the city’s 17th homicide of 2022.

Killeen Police Investigate a Stabbing at the Islamic Community of Greater Killeen

Killeen, TX (November 14, 2022): Killeen Police are actively investigating the Murder of a 69-year-old male.

On Saturday, November 12, 2022, at approximately 1:01 p.m., officers were dispatched to a 911 call in reference to a stabbing at the mosque located at 5600 State Highway 195. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located a male suffering from a stab wound. A second male was located and detained.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and the suspect were in a business relationship, and both attended the mosque. At the time of the incident occurred, both individuals were inside the mosque when the suspect stabbed the victim with a knife. The victim, Muhammad Idrees Kahn, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke at 1:37 p.m.

This is the eighteenth murder victim for the City of Killeen this year.

Muhammad Idrees Kahn, 69, was fatally stabbed at the Islamic Community of Greater Killeen on Saturday, and one person was arrested in the case.

Kahn was in a “business relationship” with the suspect and both men attended the mosque, according to a news release issued by Killeen Police Department on Monday morning, The two men were inside the mosque when the suspect stabbed Kahn with a knife, police said.

Killeen Police Arrest Murder Suspect
Killeen, TX (November 18, 2022): 31-year-old murder suspect has been located and arrested.

Detectives with the Killeen Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Unit presented this case to the Bell County District Attorney’s Office for review and a complaint for Murder was returned charging Kenneth Lloyd Carter. Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson issued an arrest warrant for Carter.

On Thursday, November 17, 2022, Kenneth Lloyd Carter was located and arrested in Humble, Texas. Magistrate James Callan with the Harris County Criminal Court 4 arraigned Carter for Murder setting his bond at $250,000.

Two men were killed in separate incidents over the weekend, pushing Killeen to 19 homicides for the year, police confirmed.

Fatal shooting
The second weekend homicide happened around 4:30 p.m. Sunday when police were dispatched to a shooting in the 5000 block of Primavera Lane on the city’s west side.

According to a KPD release, officers arrived at the scene and immediately began life-saving measures until paramedics arrived. The victim, Stepheno Rashad Gibson, 34, succumbed to injuries from gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at 5:15 p.m. Sunday by Cooke.

No arrests have been made in this case and KPD is asking for help in solving it. Killeen, TX (December 22, 2022): Killeen Police are actively investigating the murder of a 47-year-old female.

On December 22, 2022, at approximately 1:24 a.m., Killeen Police Officers were dispatched to a 911 call in reference to a shooting victim in the 700 block of Stetson Avenue.  Officers arrived on scene and located the victim outside in an unfenced backyard of a residence.  The victim had an apparent fatal gunshot wound.  Kila Nanette Spencer, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Cliff Coleman at 3:26 a.m.  No arrests have been made at this time.

This is the twentieth murder victim for the City of Killeen this year.

KILLEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE AN AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
UPDATE  (December 23, 2022):  One of the victims in this shooting succumbed to his injuries at Baylor Scott and White Hospital.  Arreon Hughes, 18 years old, was pronounced deceased at 12:55 p.m. by Justice of the Peace Keith Reed.

Hughes is the twenty-first murder victim for Killeen this year.  Detectives continue to investigate this case.  There is no further information to release at this time.

Killeen, TX (December 22, 2022):  Killeen Police are actively investigating an Aggravated Assault in which two adult males were shot.

On December 21, 2022, at approximately 9:41 p.m., Killeen Police Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Lisa Lane in reference to a 911 call for shots fired. Officers arrived on scene and located a vehicle that had crashed into a fence, and the vehicle appeared to have been shot multiple times. The vehicle was occupied by three adult males, and two of the males had gunshot wounds.

Killeen FD EMS arrived on scene and provided medical assistance. One gunshot victim was transported by ambulance to Baylor Scott and White hospital in Temple, TX, and is currently in stable condition. The second gunshot victim was transported by helicopter to Baylor Scott and White Hospital and is currently in critical condition. The suspect vehicle, a red in color SUV/cross-over type vehicle, was last seen fleeing westbound on Atkinson Avenue.  No arrests have been made at this time.

Killeen Police are actively investigating the Murder of a 35-year-old male.
On December 24, 2022, at approximately 2:07 a.m., Killeen Police Officers were dispatched to a 911 call in reference to a shooting victim in the 3300 block of Hereford Lane. Officers arrived on scene and located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers administered life-saving measures until paramedics arrived on scene to assist.

The victim, Clint Demetri Jones, succumbed to his injuries, and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Cliff Coleman, at 2:44 a.m.

No arrests have been made at this time.

This is the twenty-second Murder victim in the City of Killeen this year.
